How to play "Shovel Shot"

One-day cricket is constantly evolving with teams looking for new ways to pick up that extra boundary or take that extra wicket.
Brendon McCullum of New Zealand and Pakistan's Rashid Latif are among the exponents of a new innovation - the scoop sweep, or shovel shot.

It’s a premeditative shot which helps to get extra boundary.
Batsman has to be conscious that it’s one of the risky shot which can make one out.
Step 1
Spot the length early and get into position.
Open the face of the bat to the point where it is parallel with the ground.
Step 2
With head bowed and in the crouching  position, use the bat as a ramp to lift the ball over your head or left shoulder.
Good luck perfecting this shot and building big scores!
